​How to use waste heat - Gratkorn Mill

Because we can lower heating costs and, at the same time, reduce overall fossil CO2 emissions.

The waste water from our mill in Gratkorn is much hotter than municipal waste water. Knowing this prompted me to create the “use of waste heat from the central waste water treatment plant” project. The idea is to direct our waste water through additional heat exchangers which supply four hectares of nearby greenhouses.

This partnership enables us to considerably reduce CO2 emissions for the whole region. Everybody wins.
